3rd District Police Partnership

Welcome From Captain Michael Deeba

Dear Citizens of District Three,

In January of 2013, I began my service as Commander of the Third District. I am currently a 23-year veteran of the St. Louis Police Department, former Commander of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department-SWAT/Canine Unit and a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy.

The boundaries of District Three are Interstate 44 to the North, Chippewa to the South, South Kingshighway to the West and the Mississippi River to the East.

The Third District is comprised of 16 individual diverse neighborhoods; many of these are involved in the Neighborhood Ownership Model (N.O.M.). Neighborhood representatives involved in this partnership work together with liaison officers who are specifically assigned to their neighborhood to assist them with Court Watch, Neighborhood Impact Statements, Orders of Protection, Citizens on Patrol, Victim Advocacy and Hot Spot Policing.

The Third District also works together with the 3D Police Partnership, a large network of business owners and neighborhood leaders who volunteer their time and talents to support our officers. There webpage is self evident of this special partnership.(

As the Commander of District Three, I will work hard to lead our supervisors and officers as we work to document, investigate, and solve crime, as well as being proactive in pinpointing crime trends to prevent future crimes from occurring. We will continue to do our best to ensure the Third District remains a safe place to live, work and play! Our top priority is to improve the quality of life for the residents and businesses in the Third District.
