District 5 is investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old male injured around 8:30 p.m. on October 20.
The 19-year-old told officers he was inside his car in the area of Clara & Theodosia when two male suspects approached his vehicle. The teen said the suspects asked if he had any marijuana.
While conversing with the suspects, the teen said he heard gunshots and then accelerated from the scene. The teen was struck in the face and fled to a gas station where police were contacted.
EMS responded and transported the teen to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
