Homicide detectives have identified the two men who were killed.
- Damon Lawson, 26-years-old, from East St. Louis
- Darrien Abrams, 20-years-old, from East St. Louis
Next of kin has been notified.
Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left two dead, and three others injured, on November 24 in Columbus Square.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers received a shooting call in the area of 8th and Carr Streets and located a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded and pronounced the 26-year-old man dead at the scene. The 20-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Two additional shooting victims, a 25-year-old man and another 26-year-old man, were privately conveyed to the hospital. The 25-year-old man was listed in critical/unstable condition. The 26-year-old man was listed in stable condition. A fifth victim, a 24-year-old woman, was located at the scene with a graze wound but refused medical treatment.
