UPDATE: The 7-year-old that was found unresponsive in the pool has died. We have no additional updates at this time.
On January 18, 2025, around 8:30 PM, District 4 officers received a call to the Element Hotel in the 3700 block of Forest Park Ave. Hotel staff reported that a child was found unresponsive in their indoor pool.
The 7-year-old was rushed to the hospital where she remains in critical and unstable condition.
Our Child Abuse detectives are investigating this as an ‘accidental injury’ at this time.
