District 5 is investigating a shooting that happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 13, 2025 in the 3200 block of N. Taylor.
A 31-year-old man, who was vague with officers, said he was leaving the area after visiting a friend when he heard gunshots and then felt pain to his arm and ear. The man said he realized he was shot and then drove back to the area of his residence in St. Louis County. He further stated he did not see who shot him.
A further scene investigation revealed the 31-year-old man was shot at by a known 29-year-old man after punching the 29-year-old man in the mouth. An investigation remains ongoing into why the 31-year-old man hit the 29-year-old man.
EMS responded and transported the 31-year-old man to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The 29-year-old man was transported to the hospital for an injury to his mouth. The investigation remains ongoing.
