Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on May 1, 2025 in the 600 block of N. Sarah.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., officers received a call relative to shots being fired in the area of Washington & North Sarah. Upon arriving, officers located a 25-year-old male lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds in the 600 block of N. Sarah.
EMS responded and pronounced the 25-year-old man dead at the scene. He has been identified as Justin Woods of the 4000 block of Cook Avenue.
An investigation remains underway to determine the circumstances of the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Homicide Division directly at 314-444-5371.
