On May 10, 2025 at approximately 8:40AM, District 6 officers responded to the area of eastbound I-70 between the Adelaide exit and E. Grand Ave exit, for an “Accident, Person Struck” call. When officers arrived, they located an adult female on the right shoulder of the highway. The woman was not conscious and not breathing. She was later pronounced dead on scene.
Officers located injuries on the woman which suggests she was possibly struck by a car and had been on the shoulder for an extended period of time.
The Accident Reconstruction Unit was called to the scene and is handling the investigation.
