District 5 detectives are investigating a domestic incident that injured a man on July 14 in the Central West End.
At approximately 7:35 a.m., officers received a call for a cutting at Whittier & Westminster Place after a 31-year-old man contacted police to report he was walking his dog when his ex-boyfriend approached him and assaulted him with an electric saw knife and pole. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
