District 4 officers responded to a call for a Cutting-Just Occurred in the 1500 block of Olive around 8:20 p.m. on July 19.
An unidentified man was found suffering from apparent stab wounds to his chest. The man was combative and possibly experiencing a drug overdose.
Officers administered Narcan prior to the arrival of EMS. EMS transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene along with the Medical Examiner’s Office. At this time the incident is being handled as a death investigation pending the results of the Medical Examiner’s Office.
