Homicide detectives are investigation a shooting that left a man dead on July 21 in the Kingsway East neighborhood.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., officers were called to a shooting in the 4800 block of Maffitt. Upon arriving, they located a male victim on a porch suffering from gunshot wounds to his back. The victim, who has been identified as 62-year-old Robert Allen of St. Louis City, was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
The suspect, a 64-year-old man, was located and taken into custody. A firearm was recovered. Charges will be applied on at the Circuit Attorney’s Office. The investigation is ongoing. The investigation is ongoing.
