Man Shot by Family Member During Argument in Mark Twain Neighborhood

District 6 is investigating a domestic-related shooting incident that left a man injured on July 28 in the Mark Twain neighborhood.

Shortly before 11:20 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 4500 block of Durant. Upon arriving, they located the suspect of this incident who was outside a residence. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was located inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds. Preliminary information suggests the victim and suspect, who are related, were involved in an argument when the suspect shot the victim.

The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS and listed in critical but stable condition. The suspect was transported to the hospital for a fit for confinement due to him being in a wheelchair. The investigation is ongoing.
