District 4 is investigating a cutting that occurred outside the Biddle House in the 1200 block of Biddle Street.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the Biddle House for a report of a cutting. Upon arriving, they located a 44-year-old man with a small laceration to his chin. The man told officers he had stopped at the Biddle House to get water when he was approached by a 53-year-old man wielding a pocketknife. The victim said the suspect told him to leave and then placed the knife to the victim’s chin, cutting the victim in the process.
EMS responded and treated the victim’s injury at the scene. The suspect was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.
