Man Cut by Suspect at Shelter in Hyde Park Neighborhood

District 4 is investigating a cutting that left a man injured on August 8 in the Hyde Park neighborhood.

At approximately 8 a.m., officers were called to the Peter & Paul Community Campus in the 3200 block of N. Florissant for a cutting incident. Upon arriving, they located a 66-year-old man with a laceration on his face. The man told officers he was sleeping when a 22-year-old man assaulted him for unknown reasons. The suspect fled but later returned to the location and was taken into custody.

EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
