District 4 is investigating a robbery that occurred on August 12 in the Near North Riverfront neighborhood.
Around 11:53 a.m., officers received a call for a prior hold up at N. 9th & Brooklyn Streets. Upon arriving, they spoke to a 21-year-old male victim who reported he was robbed at that location around 2 a.m. that morning.
The victim said he was at the location with friends when three unknown male suspects approached him. The victim stated the suspects produced firearms and robbed him of his money and property, then fled in an unknown sedan after the incident. The victim further claimed there were witnesses to the incident; however, he refused to give officers information for those witnesses.
