District 6 officers responded to a ShotSpotter call in the 4700 block of Lexington around 2:20 a.m. on August 18.
Officers located a scene and were advised by dispatch that a woman had arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
An 18-year-old woman had been driven to the hospital by her mother, a 38-year-old woman. The 38-year-old woman advised officers that she was driving in the area of Euclid and Lexington when a known man shot at her vehicle, striking the 18-year-old woman.
The 18-year-old was listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
