UPDATE: The victim has been positively identified as 16-year-old Octavius Harris, of East St. Louis, IL.
On June 15, just after 3:20am, District 4 officers received a call for a shooting that occurred at 900 O’Fallon St. When officers arrived, they located four people occupying a sedan and three of them were shot. A 16-year-old male died on scene. An 18-year-old female and 17-year-old male were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and listed in stable condition.
Homicide Detectives were requested and are handling the investigation. A preliminary investigation revealed the four teens had left a party in the area when two subjects armed with guns began shooting at their vehicle as they drove away.
Positive identification on the 16-year-old is pending, but we believe he resides in East St. Louis, IL.
