Detectives initiated a homicide investigation after being notified on June 17, 2025, that the victim of a prior assault had died from his injuries and the manner of death was ruled homicide.
The assault originally occurred on April 15, 2025, in the 4500 block of Alice. The victim, a 55-year-old man, suffered injuries to his face and head. Doctors listed him in critical condition.
On April 19, 2025, the victim died from his injuries.
On June 17, 2025, the Medical Examiner’s Office notified Homicide detectives that the victim died from blunt force trauma.
The victim has been identified as 55-year-old George Harvey, Jr.
