District 6 is investigating a shooting that left a 66-year-old man injured on September 5 in the 4800 block of Bessie in Penrose.
The man told officers that around 5 p.m., he was involved in an argument with a known 63-year-old man regarding a bike. The argument turned into a fight where the 63-year-old suspect pulled out a firearm from his waistband and shot at the 66-year-old man. The 66-year-old man was struck in the head and the suspect fled in a red Dodge Ram after the shooting.
EMS transported the 66-year-old man to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
