District 4 is investigating a fight that led to two men shooting each other on September 5 in the 1000 block of Selby Pl. in Carr Square.

Preliminary investigation revealed that shortly after 4 p.m., a 51-year-old man and a 46-year-old man were involved in an argument that turned into a fight. During the fight, the men pulled out firearms and shot at each other, striking each other.

EMS responded and transported the 46-year-old man to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The 46-year-old was later found to be fit for confinement and released to the custody of officers. The 51-year-old man was privately conveyed to a hospital and listed in critical condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
