Director of Public Affairs and Information
Mitch McCoy is the Director of Public Affairs and Information for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, reporting directly to the Chief of Police. He is responsible for all internal and external communications.
He joined the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in May of 2024 after working nearly a decade as a TV news reporter and investigative journalist.
McCoy joined FOX 2 News-St. Louis in April 2023 after spending nearly eight years in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was an investigative reporter and breaking news anchor at KARK-TV. His reporting has led him across the country to cover families affected by crime, tornadoes and hurricanes.
He briefly stepped away from TV news in 2019 to work as a law enforcement media specialist in Little Rock but returned to TV in 2020.
McCoy has been recognized with multiple awards for his investigative journalism, including two EMMYs from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
