Accident Reconstruction is investigating a pedestrian accident that happened on September 2 in the JeffVanderLou (JVL) neighborhood.
Shortly after 12 a.m., officers received a call for an “Accident Person Struck” at the intersection of Hebert and North Grand. A preliminary investigation revealed a 63-year-old woman was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk. At that time, she was hit by a red Mercury Grand Marquis.
The driver of the Grand Marquis remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
EMS responded and transported the 63-year-old woman to a nearby hospital where she is listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
