District 5 is investigating a carjacking that happened on January 23 in the 4700 block of Page Blvd.
A 56-year-old man told officer he pulled over and exited his car to check a flat tire around 7 a.m. While doing so, he said he was approached by a male suspect armed with a handgun. The 56-year-old man said the armed suspect pointed the handgun at him and demanded he get away from his car. The suspect then fled in the man’s 2021 Nissan Kick.
About an hour after the incident, the Real Time Crime Center located the car in the area of Hodiamont & Theodosia, and it was occupied by three subjects. 5th District Officers responded to the location and arrested a 32-year-old male who was identified as being responsible for the robbery.
No injuries were reported during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
