District 3 detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a 24-year-old man on June 24 in the 1100 block of S. 14th St.
At approximately 12:44 a.m.., officers received shooting calls relative to several males shooting in the area. Officers arrived and discovered property damage to nearby apartments. While on scene investigating, officers received another call about a shooting victim related to this incident that was dropped off at a hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim, a 24-year-old man, was rushed into surgery and could not provide a statement of what occurred.
No other injuries were reported from this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
