UPDATE: Couple Robbed by Man in Baden (Arrest Made)

Arrest Made: On March 3, 2025, District 6 Detectives arrested a 27-year-old relative to an ongoing investigation into multiple online marketplace robberies. On March 4, 2025 the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued three counts of Robbery 1st Degree, three counts of Armed Criminal Action, three counts of UUW- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and one count of misdemeanor Stealing.


On February 17, 2025, around 6:30PM, District 6 officers responded to a call for a hold up that occurred in the 400 block of Blase Ave. Upon arriving, they met with a 25-year-old man who stated he and his girlfriend were robbed at gunpoint while trying to make a sale via an online marketplace.

The 25-year-old stated he had been conversing with the unknown suspect online about the sale of a piece of furniture and they agreed to meet in the 400 block of Blase. The victim stated he met the suspect outside and together they carried the furniture into an apartment. When the victim brought up payment, the suspect pulled a gun from a closet and demanded the victim leave.

The 25-year-old victim and his girlfriend entered their car and drove several blocks before calling the police. No injuries were reported.
