The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Force Investigative Unit is investigating the use of deadly force by a City of St. Louis Sheriff’s Deputy.
Around 6pm on May 29, 2024, a deputy observed a confrontation involving a group of people on the platform at the MetroLink station on 14th Street.
A juvenile suspect pulled a gun and started to shoot at the group of people. The deputy then shot the armed juvenile suspect.
The juvenile was conscious before being transported to the hospital. The deputy was not injured.
