District 6 is investigating a home invasion that happened at approximately 1 a.m. on December 10 in the 5900 block of Sherry.
Two men, 56 and 44, told officers they were inside their residence when two male suspects barged into the home armed with handguns. The men said they recognized one of the suspects as being a juvenile acquaintance they know.
The men said the suspects held them at gunpoint and ransacked their place, taking a wallet, money, and a bank card. One of the suspects then went to a nearby gas station and withdrew money from the card. The suspect then returned to the residence and assaulted the 44-year-old before both suspects fled from the scene.
The 44-year-old man declined medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.
