The Homicide Division is investigating the death of a 64-year-old man who was found deceased at his residence on December 17 in the 3000 block of N. 25th Street.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on December 17, officers received a call for police help at an apartment at the location. Upon arriving, they located the 64-year-old man, who has been identified as Reginald Dukes, lying on the floor not conscious or breathing. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner’s Office assumed the investigation at the time, pending autopsy results. On December 19, the Medical Examiner contacted the Homicide Division to advise the 64-year-old man suffered from internal neck injuries consistent with strangulation. Due to these findings, the Homicide Division has assumed this ongoing investigation.
