District 5 officers were patrolling in the area of Natural Bridge and Union around 2:00 a.m. when a woman inside of the SUV next to them asked for help.
The woman advised the officers there was a woman who was shot in the back of the SUV. Officers found a 23-year-old woman shot in the back seat of the SUV.
The 23-year-old woman was at a home in the 4700 block of Wren with her brother when she got into an argument with the residents there. The man produced a gun and shot at her.
The woman she was with put her in the back of the SUV while another man drove until they observed the officers marked police vehicle.
While officers were speaking with the individuals in the SUV, a call for a Shooting came out in the 4700 block of Amelia. The 23-year-old woman’s brother, a 19-year-old man, was found with an apparent gunshot wound.
The 19-year-old man told officers that his sister had gotten into an argument with a man at a home in the 4700 block of Wren. The 19-year-old tried to calm the situation but the man and another man suddenly pulled out guns and started shooting at them.
Both the 19-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman were taken to an area hospital where they were listed in stable condition.
