District 6 officers responded to an area hospital after a 45-year-old man arrived shot in the back around 1:00 a.m. on September 7.
The man told officers he was on the front porch of a home in the area of Kossuth and Red Bud when he heard a gunshot and realized he had been shot. He had a female friend take him to the hospital for treatment where he was listed in stable condition.
No scene could be located and no calls for shots fired were received in the area around the reported time of the incident.
