District 5 is investigating a carjacking that happened on November 27 in the 1400 block of N. Kingshighway Blvd.
A 41-year-old man said he and his 15-year-old relative were travelling in their car around 2:30 a.m. when they entered a gas station parking lot to make a U-turn. At that point, the two said an unknown male suspect approached them asking for a ride to which they agreed to give the suspect a ride.
After agreeing to give the suspect a ride, the two said the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded they get out of their car and leave everything in it. The two said they complied and then the suspect entered their 2008 Saab 9-3 Wagon and fled from the scene.
