District 5 is investigating a carjacking that happened on December 22 in the 1100 block of Hodiamont.
A 41-year-old man told officers he was sitting in this 2012 Chevy Equinox around 6:40 a.m. when two unknown male suspects approached. The 41-year-old said the two suspects ordered him out of the car while pointing a firearm at him.
The 41-year-old said he refused to get out of the car and then the suspects physically forced him out. At that point, the man said he was struck in his head with the suspects’ firearm, causing a laceration. The suspects fled in the man’s Chevy Equinox after the incident.
EMS responded and transported the 41-year-old man to the hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
