UPDATE: Man In Critical Condition After Shooting in Penrose Later Dies

Update on September 16:

On September 15, the Homicide Division was advised the 44-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the hospital on the evening of September 15. He has been identified as 44-year-old Loren Ivory of the 1200 block of Maple Avenue, Spanish Lake, MO.

Update on August 27:

The 32-year-old woman arrested for this incident has been charged with Domestic Assault 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action by the Circuit Attorney’s Office. The victim remains in critical condition.

Homicide detectives have taken the lead on a shooting investigation wherein a man was critically injured on August 25 in the Penrose neighborhood.

Around 9:50 p.m., officers were called to 4400 block of W. Florissant for a shooting call. Upon arrival, they located a 44-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital by EMS and listed in critical/unstable condition.

A 32-year-old old woman was taken into custody at the scene. The incident is being investigated as a domestic assault at this time. The Homicide Division continues to investigate.
