Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead, and another man injured, around 5:45 p.m. on October 20 in the 3800 block of Garfield.
Officers responded to a call for a shooting at the location and found a 48-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was not conscious or breathing and pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second man, 52, was found in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition. The suspect(s) remains unknown.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Homicide Division directly at 314-444-5371.
