District 6 officers responded to a Shooting in the 700 block of Ponce around 6:30 p.m. on September 28.
Officers found a 27-year-old man who had been shot. EMS took the man to an area hosptial where he was pronounced dead.
The 27-year-old man is identified as Elliott Smith Jr of the 1600 block of Castle Park.
