Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one person dead, and two others injured on October 15 in the 4100 block of Peck.
Around noon, officers received a call for a “Shooting” and located a 25-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound(s). EMS responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Taaj Bell of St. Louis City.
A second person, a 23-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was listed in stable condition. A third man, 24, was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was treated and later released.
A preliminary investigation revealed 25-year-old Bell, who is the boyfriend of the 23-year-old woman, was involved in an exchange of gunfire with the 24-year-old man, who is the brother of the 23-year-old woman. An investigation into what led to the shooting is still underway.
