District 5 is investigating a robbery that happened on January 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the Auto Zone, located at 1215 N Kingshighway.
A 37-year-old man told officers he was at the above location, when a known man approached him telling him he can help install a part in his vehicle for $10. The 37-year-old paid the man the money and the man then demanded an additional $100. The 37-year-old refused and the man assaulted him by punching him. The man then ran away from the area. Taken was the 37-year-old’s cellphone and a watch.
This investigation remains ongoing.
