UPDATE:

Arrest Made: On March 3, 2025, District 6 Detectives arrested a 27-year-old relative to an ongoing investigation into multiple online marketplace robberies. On March 4, 2025 the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued three counts of Robbery 1st Degree, three counts of Armed Criminal Action, three counts of UUW- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and one count of misdemeanor Stealing.

On March 2, District 6 officers responded to a robbery that happened in the 800 block of Blase, at approximately 3 p.m.

A 32-year-old man told officers he responded to the above location to deliver a fireplace from a Marketplace listing. While at the location, a man entered a bedroom, grabbed a gun, and pointed it at the 32-year-old, telling him to leave.
