District 5 is investigating a shooting that happened on March 11, 2025 in the 4300 block of St. Ferdinand Avenue.
At approximately 9:40 p.m., officers received a shooting call at the James House Apartments. Upon arriving, they located a 57-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Preliminary information revealed the 57-year-old man was involved in an argument with a known male suspect. During the argument, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the 57-year-old man. The suspect then fled from the scene after the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
