District Six Detectives are investigating after a 23-year-old man showed up at the hospital after being shot in the foot in the Baden Neighborhood.
On December 27, 2024 at approximately 3:00 pm, Officers received a call for a shooting at the hospital. A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was in the alley of the 800 block of Wall Street, taking out his trash when a masked man armed with a handgun, approached him and announced a robbery.
The 23-year-old man drew his own handgun in self-defense; however, there was a struggle between the suspect and the 23-year-old over the handgun, and a shot was fired.
The 23-year-old was able to run back to his residence, where he discovered he had been shot in the foot. A relative conveyed the man to the hospital where police were notified.
The investigation is ongoing.
