District 6 is investigating a shooting that left a man injured during an possible attempt robbery on July 29 in North Pointe.
Around 12:45 a.m., officers were called to a local hospital after a 34-year-old man was dropped off with a gunshot wound. The victim told officers that around midnight, he was standing at a bus stop at W. Florissant & Park Ln when three male suspects approached him and asked for a lighter and cigarettes. The victim said when he went to reach for the cigarettes, the suspects pointed a handgun at him, however, he grabbed the gun, and it went off. The victim was struck and then walked to a different location where he called someone to convey him to the hospital.
