On February 22, District 3 officers responded to a shooting at the Quik Trip located in the 2800 block of Gravois, at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Officers located a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back. A witness on scene told officers the 27-year-old man and other men on scene were working a painting job for the man that shot the 27-year-old. They were set to meet with the man at the QuikTrip for payment. The man met them there and then refused to pay them. The man then entered his car and drove away, before firing shots into the work van.
The 27-year-old man was transported to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
This investigation remains ongoing.
