District 4 is investigating a shooting that occurred around 10:15 a.m. on November 7 in the 4100 block of N. 22nd St.
Officers responded to a shooting call at the location and located a 71-year-old adult male1 with a graze wound to his ear and serious injuries to his head. A preliminary investigation was able to determine the 71-year-old was assaulted and shot at by a 53-year-old male suspect. Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the incident, as the 71-year-old was unable to provide a statement, and the 53-year-old suspect fled after the incident.
The 71-year-old man was taken to the hospital is listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
