District 1 is investigating a shooting that injured a 33-year-old around 6 p.m. September 16 near Alaska & Koeln.
The 33-year-old man was uncooperative and would only state he was inside a vehicle when he heard gunshots and was struck. Further preliminary scene investigation revealed two separate vehicles were shooting at each other around the time the 33-year-old man was shot.
EMS responded and transported the 33-year-old man to the hospital where he was listed in critical/stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
