Man Shot in Penrose, Uncooperative with Officers

District 6 is investigating a shooting that injured a 35-year-old man on April 11, 2025 at the Carousel Motel on North Kingshighway.

Shortly after 1 a.m., officers received a shooting call at the location. Upon arriving, they located a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

The 35-year-old man was uncooperative and hostile towards officers and would not provide information. A preliminary investigation was able to determine the man was possibly shot while inside one of the motel rooms. An unknown man and unknown female fled from the motel room.

EMS responded and transported the 35-year-old man to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
