UPDATE: Man Shot Inside Residence on Minnesota

Update: The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the manner of death as “homicide.”


The Homicide Division was notified that the 43-year-old man left the hospital against medical orders and later died. The Medical Examiner will conduct an investigation to determine the official cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.


Original post on Sept. 28:

District 1 officers responded to a Shooting-Just Occurred at a residence in the 6900 block of Minnesota just before 6:00 p.m. on September 27.

A 43-year-old man was found inside of the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

A 43-year-old woman was inside of the residence at the time of the incident and was not injured.

Officers were told that an unknown man forced his way into the residence and the 43-year-old man struggled with the unknown man before the unknown man shot the 43-year-old man and left the residence.

EMS took the 43-year-old man to an area hospital where he was listed in critical/unstable condition.
