District 5 officers responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Cora on December 7 just after 3:30 a.m.
Officers found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The 20-year-old man told officers that he was at a friend’s house at an unknown address on Ashland. An unknown man then arrived and confronted the 20-year-old for being inside the house and shot the 20-year-old in the leg. The 20-year-old then ran away.
EMS responded and transported the 20-year-old to a nearby hospital where he was listed as stable.
The investigation is ongoing.
