District 3 officers responded to a Shooting in the 1600 block of S. Jefferson around 4:00 a.m. on August 24.
A 21-year-old man, who is an employee of the Midwest Petroleum at 1655 S. Jefferson, had been shot. He told officers he was outside the business sweeping when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot.
EMS responded and transported the 21-year-old man to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
