District 4 officers responded to a Shooting-Just Occurred in the 2900 block of Thomas around 10:30 p.m. on October 4.
Officers found a Jeep with bullet holes on the passenger side. Officers learned that the Jeep belonged to a 36-year-old man who had been taken to an area hospital after being shot.
The man told officers he did not see who shot him and was unable to provide further information due to his injuries. He was listed in critical/stable condition.
A 33-year-old woman told officers she had called the 36-year-old man to her house on Thomas after a group of juveniles, who were armed with guns, were beating at her front door and broke windows.
The woman told officers she heard several gunshots outside and learned that the 36-year-old man had been shot. The woman and a relative took the man to the hospital.
