District 4 is investigating a robbery that happened shortly before 2 p.m. on December 30 at N. Leffingwell Avenue & Samuel Shepherd Drive.
A 51-year-old man told officers he was stopped at a stop sign at the location when an unknown male suspect opened his driver door and forced him out of his car. The 51-year-old man said a brief struggle ensued wherein the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen. The suspect then entered the 51-year-old’s 2014 Cadillac SUV and fled from the scene.
Officers canvassed the area and located the man’s Cadillac in the 2600 block of James Cool Papa Bell. EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
