District 3 is investigating a robbery that happened on November 20 in the 1200 block of Russell.
A 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman told officers they were standing outside the 25-year-old woman’s car when a black metallic truck stopped in the middle of the street. The man and woman said three male suspects exited the truck and approached them with a firearm and announced a robbery.
The man and woman said the suspects took their money and then ransacked the woman’s car without taking any items from the car. A fourth suspect responded back to the scene in the suspect truck and picked up the three suspects. All four suspects fled in the truck.
The victims were not injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
